Pouncey's Life Development - Behavioral Health Consultants offer the two (2) day ASIST Workshop sponsored by Living Works, Inc. The training team, consisting of behavioral health specialists, provide the internationally-renown suicide intervention training applied by thousands of 'safer community' persons: providers, counsellors, teachers, parents, clergy, soldiers, etc. ASIST-trained persons have accounted for many lives saved.

Pouncey's Life Development - Behavioral Health Consultants operate a team of research and behavioral health professionals, i.e. doctoral, social science, researchers,  with expertise in providing suicide prevention techniques and methodologies for small and large organizations, as well as, analyzing existing data related to behavioral trends, risks factors leading to suicidal ideation and completion. The research team also provides guidance and recommendations for behavioral health 'protective factors' (Pf).

Pouncey's Life Development - Behavioral Health Consultants provide a team of research methods-trained and experienced professionals to perform studies for organizations, groups and agencies - toward operational and functional insight. Data and trend information generated by the study are, in turn, applied toward end-of-study solutions recommendations and best practices.

Dr. Jeffrey Pouncey, MA, PSYD

   Clinical Neuropsychologist

Dr. Jeffrey Pouncey currently serves as an adjunct - credentialed professor in the Department of Arts and Science at the University of Alabama, Birmingham (UAB) teaching Substance Abuse, Addiction and Treatment and Research Methods in Psychology. He has also authored a general psychology textbook (2019): "Anatomy of Psychology", published by Kendall Hunt. He has functioned as a Suicide Prevention Manager with the United States Army Reserve in Birmingham, AL. Dr. Pouncey previously practiced with the California Department of Mental Health as a staff forensic psychologist as well as serving an appointment as Chief of the Substance Abuse Recovery Division. He completed his doctoral internship at Kaiser Permanente as well as post-doctoral training in clinical neuropsychology. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology from Saint Mary’s College of California, Moraga, California. Additionally, Dr. Pouncey has an earned Master’s degree in clinical psychology as well as a Doctor of Psychology degree from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California; with extensive training in both pediatric and geriatric neuropsychology. He has salient research experience with the U.S. Army as well as a major health HMO.

Ellenberg and Midnight Tear: The Tulsa Oklahoma Greenwood District - A Story of Forbidden Affluence (2012) by Dr. Jeffrey Pouncey; Ms. Ellenberg currently serves as Administrative Assistant with Pouncey's Life Development - Behavioral Health Consultants. Ms. Ellenberg's education, i.e. Mathematics and Computer Science degree at City College of San Francisco and Computer Science degree at Bakersfield College as well as her rich and dynamic professional experience has been a tremendous asset to the organization.
